Inflated Pricing & Low Integrity Business Practices

His sub was outstanding. However, the GC is shady, inflates prices, tries and cut corners do whatever is possible to nickel/dime the home owner. Their design services are horrible. It consisted of asking my wife to go to build.com and pick STUFF out, making recommendations that intentionally show they have no idea what they are speaking about. However, you will pay exorbitant prices for those services added to each and every line item in your quote. When I finally smartened up and dug into how much I was paying and did some comparisons with other professionals in the area, Jack was 60% to over 340% higher across the board. He tries to bully you through sales speak, talking around and through any questions concerning the price. When I realized we asked us to pay $2600 to paint a single vanity cabinet with a 6.5 Ft Tall and 2.5 FT wide cabinet using existing hardware. That's when I drew the line. Other pro's I called quoted $680 to $900. We had to reroute HVAC pipe and a gas pipe to give us more wall space. Jack quoted over $5,000. We had a professional who has margins to meet just like Jack do it for $1250. We noticed over $2,200 inserted for lumber and even his subs didn't know what it was for because all the framing had been completed. Just AJP. (Additional Jack Profit). I now have an attorney seeking a remedy over a relatively easy remodel to turn a bedroom, Jack/Jill bathroom into a game room. If I would have noticed other reviews prior to and search Denton Count Judicial records. I would have empirical truth of what was going to happen on this project. A tiger doesn't change his stripes. My wife and I were highly taken advantage of.

Good Luck! My wife and I had a similar experience a number of years ago.

Filed a small claim again Jack, who didn't show up and eventually filed bankruptcy. I had liens put on my home and ran over budget by over 20%. If you feel like he used money from your job to finish others (i.e., you paid for materials that you never received), you can go to the police and file a grievance under the Texas Construction Trust Fund Act, which requires separate books and records be kept by contractors.

SanDino Home Solutions does not complete jobs

We hired Jack Santarelli with Sandino Home Solutions to add a third garage to our home in April. The job is still not completed. He does not answer emails or calls in a timely manner. The roof which was completed in July is still sub par with large humps in it. The back fence was left in a hazardous condition in which we were forced to complete in a makeshift manner in order to protect our toddler and dog from escaping and falling subject to injury. The expansion joint was sub par and unsightly. The trim around the garage has yet to be completed. Unfortunately, our contract was agreed upon to "pay-as-you-go" and thus we have absolutely no way of holding him or his company to finishing this project. Mr. Santarelli has verbally agreed that these items should be corrected and yet there has been no effort to address these things at all. We were forced to contact someone to finish the garage doors ourselves so that we would at least be able to utilize the garage and get our property out of storage. We paid out of pocket to do this. This job is not completed and we are officially on day 223 of a project that we were assured would take only 42 days. It is my belief that Jack Santarelli and Sandino home solutions have no intent of finishing this job. I have heard every excuse in the book from "hurricanes to the south and tornadoes to the north" regarding why this job has not been completed. I read every complaint on line and believed the rebuttals from Mr Santarelli regarding the complaints however I have been played the fool by him on several occasions. There is always a verbal explaination regarding why things aren't going well and yet very little, if any, action to rectify the problem. This company did not have solutions regarding where to dispose of the building materials that were left in the drive way for months. It was even suggested to me by SanDino Home Solutions that we should take some of the items to the emtpy field across the street from my home to remove it from my driveway. A successful company knows where to take disgarded building materials. These are things that should not burden a home owner during a project unless they are doing the remodel themselves. This company absolutely does not stand behind their work. This company has no intent of finishing this project or any other project. I am sure he will say that I have been "difficult to work with" however I was a dream client until we hit day 100 of a project that was to take only 42 days. We paid on time, gave him the benefit of the doubt and by no means set unrealistic expecations which are all statements that have been made by other clients. Please research surrounding states and their government websites before discounting my claims. This business has had many names including Tarelli Construction, Home Design Solutions and SanDino Home Solutions. Please listen to me. I am an honest, hard-working citizen who strives to do the right thing in every aspect of my life. If you hire this company under ANY name you will be adding stress to your lives that is highly unnecessary. LOOK ELSEWHERE. I am looking forward to the rebuttal of this post by the business owner who always has an answer but very little action. Let my experience guide you. Let time speak for itself. I have celebrated the following holidays while waiting for the job to be completed. Easter, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas is just around the corner....Something tells me the job will remain an open task while the fat guy lands his sleigh on my roof. This was, according to Mr. Santarelli "an easy job that won't take more than 3 or 4 weeks." Again, let time speak for me. Ask yourself this question "Do I want a contractor to start this job and finish it? Or do I want a contractor to START this job?" If you hire SanDino Home Solutions you are only looking for someone to START the job. Please Please heed my warnings.

Everyone beware - Jack Santarelli has opened up under another name. DFW Home Solutions and moved his location to 14241 Dallas Parkway, Suite 650.

Dallas TX 75254. I heard he is trying to reinvent himself again because of all the complaints from his previous company Sandino Home Solutions. Here is his website as well www.dfwhomesolutions.com

I heard through the grapevine he also bailed on his lease at his previous location.

I haven't spoken to his previous landlord yet but, I'm sure he would love to know this guys has opened up under another name at a different location. Please do your own research

He has a line of past construction business from New Jersey down the entire east coast, from state to state. When he is involved in too many law suits, he simply files bankruptcy and starts over in a new state. His employee turnover rate is ridiculous and it's not for no reason.

I should have done better even after loosing an entire crew on this project, but during this project I had been diagnosed with a heart defect and didn't tell the client because I wanted to try and finish this project. I feel awful that this project took as long as it did but I never ignored Darrel Morrison's phone calls or emails, only Kim Morrison at times because I had already communicated with her husband who hired me.

I always communicated with Darrel regularly and felt that if I already had spoken with him that he would discuss with her. Throughout the entire project, my only communication was with Darrel and I had not ever met Kim until more than half way through. She was verbally abusive at times and would ask a question but didn't want the answer, that was an excuse. I did everything I could, gave them over $2000 in credits and did not take final payment.

At the very end with a few minor items to adjust, I made a decision that no matter what I would do, it wouldn't please Kim, she yelled at me constantly, so I credited off the final payment. I didn't owe them any money and the final balance they owed me, I left behind. We had the fence adjusted many times and after approvals, they would again call for another adjustment. The garage was inspected by the city at every stage and passed each time by code.

With my heart problems getting worse, and the stress causing me even more pane, I had to make a decision to leave. I've been living and trying to adjust to my heart problems and in hind sight, maybe I should have removed myself from the project t when I found out I was having heart problems, but I tried to work through as best as I could but when our main crew quit, it was hard to keep such an aggressive schedule.

I apologized to them after telling them near the end what I've been dealing with, but Kim Morrison didn't seem to care and continued yelling, I had to stop. I continue with this heart problem and have adjusted the types of projects that I know I can physically and realistically do.

Lies, lies, lies. If you don't believe me, feel free to look up all of the court cases against him in Texas AND Louisiana.

He has destroyed lives. I am only thankful that he bowed out when he did. No worries, the $1000 (not $2000) that he chose not to collect from us didn't event BEGIN to cover the repairs on the FRAMING that was done on the garage by Jack and his shady company. Thank goodness our roof no longer has the hump in it that Jack felt to be acceptable.

I would also like to point out that jack didn't begin to have his "heart problems" until about 5 months after our job should have been completed. He's completely dishonest and will WITHOUT A DOUBT *** over if you hire him. I was never verbally abusive to him. I was a customer who had paid $30,000 for an INCOMPLETE project who wanted answers that I rightfully deserved.

Funny how now that I have hired a reputable company to do even more work on my house they are willing to talk to both myself AND my husband.

Good luck if you hire any company associated with Jack. You will need it...just ask his brother.

Oh. Also, the fence was NEVER completed.

Never. And I mean never. Never.

Can I be any more clear? NEVER.

I also have a recording of the ENTIRE conversation Jack is referring to. I would be glad to share all 36 minutes of it.

yeah, I experienced your lies too Jack. All you do is lie, lie and lie some more to cover up your previous lies.

You lie to customers, sub-contractors, inspectors, creditors, everyone. Funny how your crew quit on you when you were on my job too. Sounds like a theme. You have tons of excuses - and you recycle them on every job.

Amazing. Did the bankruptcy proceedings also get in the way of your schedule? Is that your second or third bankruptcy? Can't keep track.

Heart problem? Don't believe you in the first place, but if true, I am sorry for you. More than likely caused by years and years and years of screwing people over.

A heavy conscious does not a healthy person make. Perhaps you should seek forgiveness from all of those you have lied to and stolen from, and from God, and change your ways.

Shawdy work is everywhere. No need to hide my comment, I've experienced it but sorry, haven't a clue how to stop it. 1 suggestion, do NOT pay any money until job complete. If must add clause that "pay as we go" is anywhere in there, that should be your 1st clue that you are probably going to get burnt. Been there done that. Sorry, one of those life's lesson's.

I have personally seen the back yard...inside the garage and the hazardous materials that were left in the driveway for months. This is not someone I nor would suggest anyone to use. Better business bureau should be notified..

I have seen your home and there is an extreme drop off just beyond your back fence that scared me just to stand next to. I know this review to be accurate and absolutely true.

You can trust her statements to be factual. I absolutely would not hire this contractor.
